Despite the clamour for information, the problem is that there is no official news as yet. I heard that an engine failure was reported at the time of the accident. Turbomeca are involved in the post-accident engine investigation. It has not been confirmed if there was any other emergency at the same time. With the unfortunate loss of the crew, the 2 main witnesses are lost. Bad, or uninformed information, is probably more damaging than no information and I'm sure that when something more is known it will be reported in public. It says something that the fleet of Dauphins is continuing to fly as normal.
