I thought the same Shytehawk - but 34000' in 64 miles is a pretty unfeasible climb gradient too. On second thoughts, at 120kts and 30 mins its only 1000fpm. Someone not been thinking before splurging out nonsensical numbers I fear.

Still, I just read the title and thought, a bit short on accuracy here - what was Lusaka doing with an engine, and why did Emirates have to blow it somewhere else? Couldn't they have just taken it away in a truck like everyone else does? Well, that's what it says...


If people don't read what they've written to see that it actually says what was intended they are likely to write something totally different to what was intended, as in the utterly bizarre title of this thread. And that's just where the bolleaux started...
