Which ever type you feel the most comfortable in AND perform the best.
I'd suggest you minimise swapping around to a minimum ie once you change onto a type stay on it. That way you will feel more at home in it.
Some people swear by Piper, others Cessna etc.
I prefer Cessna but that reflects my own bias & experience.
As long as it meets the test criteria it matters little.
If you can get a retractable for the same cost as a fixed gear then that might be something to consider. You will eventually need the endorsement so if you can get it for no extra during training...
