The fear of the outside world continues today at Fort Knox Tower.

Those of you in th know will all ready be familiar with the birdie migratory patterns at Cork in the late summer and early autumn weeks when some of our feathered friends give some of our aeroplanes and crews a bit of a fright and if you are around long enough you will very likely see the hard working boys 'n girls of the Airport Police spinning up and down the runway in their smart looking 4x4s letting off the equivalent of some buckshot to frighten off the little birdies.

Honourable work and full marks to all involved in getting the job done.

So, what do I see today from the road on my journey abeam Fort Knox Tower? Go on, take a guess!

New baby saplings planted along the road side new perimeter of the Fort Knox facility!

It would only happen in Cork!

Lovely, f*ckin' lovely!
