Would recommend doing initial training in say a PA28, then moving to a 172 for PPL, then a 182 is a good move as chances are you will score a job on 182/206/210 if you go out bush.

It helps being familiar with the type. Some operators want "high wing" time. Beats me why, but if the CP want it, you aint gunna get a job without it!
