I agree that Cork needs a result. All we've had for the last 4 years is Aerlingus and Ryanair putting on more sun flights at the expense of the Spanish and Portugeese Charter airlines and Wizzair serving the needs of Polish and Lithuanian immigrants, another no brainer.

It also worries me to read that the lack of pre-customs clearance at Cork has now replaced the Shannon Stopover as the excuse for not delivering the transatlantic service that has been talked up by successive management teams since the mid 1990's. If it's beyond reach then say so and concentrate on the U.K and Europe.

Having said all that it seems that the new route if it materialises and my source is correct will be to Germany.
