Page in my clipboard had all the radio stations for Europe - listened in most of the time during cruise except around sunset when the signals would get scrambled.
On long haul had an early Walkman tape deck when out of range of ground stations.
Mate had a cd player on a big Boeing glare shield and accidently flew across Switzerland without any contact.
Flown glider aeros to KLF....and paraglided to garage music - but difficult to hear the vario..
