Slight drift

Recollect two of us, both ex RAF and already familiar with the Smiths (MFS) system doing Smiths Flight System training in an old BEA Link trainer with a crab on the plot table. The Link instructor wasn't pleased with our tracking so jumped in to demonstrate; whereupon my buddy wound on max crosswind.
The instructor decided that there was a sim fault and we had been doing pretty well after all
. . . and then there were the 'Let's drive the crab right off the table' days
