I've never read a book about taildragger flying, and doubt it would be much use. You won t have time to think if a swing develops - you've to develop an automatic reaction, like riding a bike. Get your taildragger rating. Get checked out on tarmac. Get experience. Stay current. And gradually try trickier conditions. Flat calm is not the easiest. I converted to nosewheel, then went back to tailwheel - Jodel DR1050.
