Taildraggers generally (I have experience on super cubs but most of my TW time is on Jodels) are very easy if you are landing on grass into wind and you come in at exactly the right speed and attitude. This is something that takes the average joe around 2 hours to get right. Add a gusting 10kn crosswind and it is a little more challenging on grass. On hard it all happens faster and is less forgiving. Most people get signed off in 4 – 5 hours but that is really just the start of learning and you need to build up gradually to be safe at 15kn cross on a hard runway. Currency is also more of an issue on TW.
