Interesting story...with conflicting takes on how they died.

Hadnt heard of this one at all. Boston ? crash on Mornington Is. itself and of course the B 24 "Little Eva" to the south of, on the mainland.
"The Savage Wilderness" is a good read about that tragic incident.

FBF..you can relax... I'm sure there would be mega publicity if the newly minted, airborne Mossie was leaving NZed to go Trans Tasman. Dont think it will happen. When done in NZ, doesnt it go in a box to USA owner?

Would be tremendous to have such a bird roaring around Oz tho!

Will be interested to hear more re TE 746 at Sidney Island.
