Simply do not accept the change if it inconveniences you. I will bend over backwards to help out my airline if weather or other operational reasons throw the flying programme out of the window. However, I will not accept roster changes that seem to occur daily for no reason. It is common practice in our airline to change ten crews because one line of flying needs filling. It became the norm for this to be the way the airline was run...until recently. Now we are fighting back after saying enough is enough and to get back to some sort of stable roster system , we may have to strike. Accept your roster changes at your peril, it establishes a new degree of flexibility that crewing never knew they had, and that is their ability to totally control your life. It is up to you if you want to go down this path.
