Qantas customer service has been sledged here often, let me tell you about a flight I did a few days ago. :

Wheelchair pax, wheelchair brought to him from hold and he was off, crew remained dealing with others for a while. When cabin crew went through immigration [in Bangkok] and proceeded to baggage collection found the W/C pax waiting. Bag was lost, CSM waited with him and helped him with baggage enquiries and gave him mobile number to call when he got to hotel, cooincidentally our crew hotel.
When we met for postflight drinks the CSM said he was meeting pax to take him shopping as he was to present an address at a conference next day. The CSM went off and took pax to a local shopping mall and after a 40 min "powershop" the customer was all set for his meeting.

If this wasn't an example of the excellent service some [most?] of our crews give then I don't know what is.

See how many of our "service" oriented competition would do that!
