Terry was the AFAP negotiator and I ended up as the General Aviation Association's negotiator representing the Industry when it was decided to integrate 2 awards together with 4 different payscales into one award with one payscale incorporating all pilots work values relative to each other. As a pilot I had the advantage of the practical side and the negotiations included on site visits together with the Arbitration Commissioner which I flew them on the interstate visits. The negotiations went well and in reality when we argued our cases before the commission the awards was basically a consent award. Terry was true gentleman and when I last spoke to him about 3 months ago I reminded him that the awards are still basically as we had negotiated he replied "We did good work there" You certainly did Terry!
Rest in Peace
