Rotary flap drive vs ballscrew?
Am I correct in thinking that the Boeing 727, 737, 747 and 757 all use a 'ballscrew' actuator to extend the trailing edge flaps, while the 767 uses a rotary drive actuator? What about the 777?
Last question... Is the rotary drive mechanism still powered by a torque tube connected to transmission points at each linkage fairing?
