GLAGAZ, I agree with you but very few clubs have a 70t jet to have some fun on the weekends. Just do your hand flying when the situation is right for it.
Don' t do it when:
In a heavely congested airport,
On severe poor wheather,
With a brand new f/o or capt,
When you are tired
At night in an airport you are not familiar with,
When the other crew member is not happy with it
With degraded systems or deferred items.
We must be proud of maintaining our hand flying skills but I also take pride and would be very happy with my captain if he tells me that we will do an Autoland because we have been 12 hours on duty with minimum rest and we are just tired
