Back with Iceair, coming in from Europe, if the WX, TFC and Crew were ok we disconnect all the gizmos and handfly from FL370. Sometimes as the wx is so bad the A/P is not able to do an Autoland. Up to 70 knots in Keflavik with bad visibility you need your fly skills fresh no A/P to save you. Is good to keep the skills alive for those days but beware of how and when you do it, is not about trying or IŽll do my best, you either are both ok to do IT or NOT.
