Chuck Thanks for the detailed explanation on thermal shcok. It is certainly something that I try to bear in mind, but even more so after your expanations & the other posters comments.
Thanks for apparantly elevating me to the rank of "instructor", but I am just a humble PPL. But I do have with an inquisitive mind, when it comes to all matters mechanical, even if I don't know what I am talking about.
I like learning about flying, & this forum seems to be the place to do it.
