There was a good turn out to watch the fly past of XH558 today. This brought an unexpected bonus to the Midlands Air Museum in Rowley Road. They had a bumper day for visitors.
I must admit that although I have lived only ten minutes drive away for over fifty years, I had never visited this museum. The kerbside appeal gave me the impression that it is a few sad old aircraft in a field, but it so much more than that. Of course I ended up spending too much money in the shop, but that is no-one's fault but my own. It is a great deal bigger and more interesting that I thought it would be. Further developments are planned apparently.
