On a somewhat related note to the above, the upcoming Monday will be my last day with the company. I will be handing over control of this account to Capt. Kwasi Oteng who will also take over as Chief Operations Officer. He hopes to be able to engage with the community here in a similar manner that I have been doing over the last two years.
Part of me is disappointed to move on. Another part of me is excited by the new challenges that await me. But all parts of me will always wish AWA every success. AWA has a superb team of Ghanaian professionals (some of them pictured below with me - I'm the one kneeling in the suit and holding the AOC) that will carry the airline forward for years to come. One day, when Africa World Airlines is hailed as a continent-wide success story, I will be able to sit back and proudly say that I was employee number one.
