The old terminal has big rooms that are used for training purposes etc and a lot of the top floor is occupied
The whole top floor is occupied, the bottom is a bit of a kip. There is no room at all to move staff from the old terminal to the new terminal. When the new terminal ran over budget the 3rd floor (yes, 3rd floor) was scrapped - that's why all the administration remains in the old Terminal. You would no that from your work experience at Cork anyway Cabincrewifly.

It seems there's room for offices in the basement floor of the new terminal building.
Not the case at all, you get that impression when walking through Tunnels A1 or A2 but there is no room at all.

Oh right, interesting, can't imagine there would be much natural daylight down there wonder how much SIPTU will extract from the DAA for that!
That's never been an issue there's a whole floor of offices in T1 at Dublin with no natural light. The Director of operations for the DAA has no light in his room.
