Summer 2013

BBC News - Thomson-owner Tui Travel sees 'strong' summer

Looking okay for summer 13 bookings.

Following on from the EDI & LBA flights on Thomson aircraft, when will the final details be known for each base?

I know from the timetable you can work out the number at each base but what about aircraft types, as this affects local capacity especially if 738's are replacing 757's.

I have also noticed from the Thomas Cook site a few more flights than usual have similar timings to Thomson flights. Is this type of co-operation something that will happen more in the future? Just seems odd that the two main competitors in the UK are using each others aircraft.

I know from BHX that Thomas Cook and Thomson use each others aircraft on BGS and Thomson wholly used Thomas Cook this summer and last winter for FUE but there appears to be more next summer.

I suppose I can't complain after booking TC for Rhodes last year as they had the apartments I wanted at a cheaper price than similar ones Thomson were offering and I got to fly on a Thomson aircraft.

Pete
