The SeaRey is a fun aircraft to fly. I did a check ride a few years ago at the Florida manufacturers.
On being taught the correct approach attitude:
ME: Are those logs in the water.
QFI: No boy they be 'gaters.
ME: What if we hit one?
QFI: We'd be 'gater bait boy, we'd be 'gater bait.
QFI reported afterwards how quickly I learned the correct approach attitude and water landing.
