Sorry about rehashing this subject (probably many posts already related to this subject), but what is causing the scheduling problems from the pilots' point of view? This is not a rhetorical question. Seriously, which of the following MOST contributes to the problem:
1. poor scheduling department/management - inept...
2. lack of pilots
3. management's thirst for control - (e.g., Lorenzo at Continental)
Easyjet claims to be a Southwest clone. But you NEVER see discontent like this at Southwest - most Southwest pilots LOVE their job and are public advocates for Southwest. Why not adopt GO's scheduling system - or would that be too expensive? At least you have flying jobs (with new A319s on the way...).
Any logical (non-emotional) answers out there?
Good luck to all!
