But it's the ultimate monopoly isn't it? If flying to MAN it isn't coz you love the airport, it's because the airport is closest / most convenient to your destination. Until and unless it actually becomes a danger to your health, you / we have no real choice IF our destination is nearby. This is what all airports hold as a trump card (except where there are multiple ports serving a single city like in London).
The issue with MAN like all crappy airports is that the company charged with running it managed to get a sweet deal that included no KPIs or customer satisfaction measurements or penalties re. customer (viz airport traveller) satisfaction.
That PLUS the fact they seem to have (as mentioned before) access to some pool of deficient genes from whence to recruit their staff.
Best warn people, but you can't expect them to stay away. Kinda like a dirty toilet - if you have to use it you do, but you do appreciate being told it stinks BEFORE you walk in there!
