Where did all the destinations go?
I'd like to see Monarch re-instate some of their pevious routes from Luton, which included: Catania, Orlando, Las Palmas etc.
Interestingly Liverpool airport are now looking to increase charter flights. I think that Luton is missing out in relation to some holiday destinations that the low costs do not operate to?
Like gilesdavies, I prefer Monarch to any other low cost airline but I personally feel as though they are tiring of Luton. In the old days, at least 90% of their flying programme was from Luton!
Ironically, the original holiday charter airlines re-invented themselves as low cost scheduled carriers, whilst the original low cost scheduled airlines now offer some trimmings to produce a package holiday.
