I'm a part-time FISO at Duxford. I also organise the Duxford Bonus Days - discount days to encourage folk to fly in and enjoy what we have to offer -- some would say the best active aviation museum in Europe. Welcome to AOPA UK). Come and say hi on that day, or the Saturday, and you'll get me. Otherwise we all try to be welcoming -- we are, after all, the first and the last voice that the pilot will speak to at Duxford.
Personally, I'm a Cessna man, but I've got some hours in a PA18. Duxford's grass runway is well-drained and flat enough to flatter even my landings (well. some of them).
