The info I had is that they were looking for a range of experience levels within the criteria laid down. If so and assuming the numbers quoted above are correct then with a slightly less than 1 in 10 chance I would humbly suggest that there will doubtless be guys with lots of experience who are disappointed and / or frustrated.
I was reliably informed that 170 applications were received in the first 24 hours that met all the requirements so the 700 quoted above may not be unreasonable.
