Why is Africa World Airlines trying to cover up the accident that occurred with 9G-AEU this morning at KIA? First airline to write off an aircraft before the AOC is even issued? You must be so proud.
a) There was no "accident", but rather as Teddy Robinson described above, a minor incident where the parked 9G-AEU was struck by the winglet of a taxiing ERJ-135.
b) This has not been "covered up". It has been reported to GCAA and GACL and insurers as required. It's actually a good test run for our SMS and reporting systems before operations begin.
c) I will presume that you are the person who called the radio stations yesterday trying to spread the news about the "Africa World Airlines plane crash" and question the safety record. Not cool at all.
d) Contrary to your assertions, 9G-AEU is not written off. It will be absolute fine once the panel is replaced.
