The RV-12 wings are removable (as in the video) rather than 'folding'. Two pins fit through the over lapping spar extensions and through the fuselage bulkheads.
If the wing pins are not in and locked, proximity sensors prevent the engine from being started.
The pins are eaily inspected from inside the cockpit and if they are seen to be in but the engine won't turn, there is proabably a sensor failure. The 'spar pin' overide switch is then pressed allowing the engine to be started. This would only happen away from base so seems to be a sensible idea....
