When taking shots of aircraft, overexpose by about one stop, sometimes more. The lots of sky in the pictures tends to fool the meter into underexposure with auto exposure modes. Also when posting the photos on the site make them a smaller size ie maximum for this site is 850 pixels wide whereas yours are 1025 which makes viewing them more difficult. Don't take criticism too harshly, its all part of the learning curve. Good luck, and, what make/model camera is the new babe ?
