Well it causes me furore! The type was very recently in RAF service and had already acquired an unfavourable reputation within Squadron crewrooms.

None of this came out in the BoI, and when Sqn Ldr Burke (The RAF Odiham TP) asked that he might present himself to the BoI as a witness he was told to keep quiet and wait to be called. He wasn't.
