Africa World Airlines has taken delivery of its first aircraft, an Embraer ERJ-145LR registered as 9G-AET, on 30th August 2012 at Kotoka International Airport in Accra.

 The aircraft arrived in Accra at 1122am after a 4-day flight from Tianjin, China.

 The delivery flight was under the command of Capt. Ivan NARTEY, who was assisted by Senior First Officer Kenneth BRUCE-TAGOE and Training Capt. Tommy FJELD.

 Africa World Airlines intends to commence scheduled flight services on 21st September 2012 with flights from Accra to Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi.
