A regular contributor on here told me a funny story once.
He landed at a "high vis required" airfield and proceeded to depart his a/c without one.
He was apprehended by an employee and asked why he wasn't wearing one to which he replied "At what point did you notice I wasn't wearing one?"
"Well, as soon as you got out the aircraft mate!" was the reply.
"Exactly", said our hero, "So I was clearly visible wasn't I?"
