Checked with Panam in Miami and the main difference between having to do an initial PIC or reduced certification PIC would be in regards to having previous experience on the acft in question (250 hours in type min and crewmember on that acft within the previous 59 months). In regards to course duration, the only difference would be that a reduced training doesn´t required as much classroom training and FTD / FBS training as the full initial certification. The FFS part would be exactly the same for both. So not much shortcuts in my opinion, as you still would have to do the full FFS + Loft + Checkride in the reduced option.
