There isnt much profit as a supplier (travel agent) either.
I have worked in both corporate & leisure travel, and the profit margins are typically 1-2%
Compare that with general retailing where you can add a couple of zeros to that profit margin, and you can see just how hard agents have to work to scrape a living.
