Surely if the EU is going to give aid it has got to be across the board and not just "Flag Carriers" or Transatlantic carriers. We all know that most if not all airlines were in deep S**T b4 Sept 11th.
It is sad to see any carrier in trouble and we do need to stick together but Govt aid to some and not all is disgraceful. As for slot retention..... once again politics and sentiment rule for the old boys network!! If you can't make profit on it give others a chance.Personally, I don't work for a low cost carrier but why should LHR slots or LGW slots be protected?? The indusrty badly needs consolidation and propping loss makers up will not help it.
