Trying to make the airfield something that its not will ruin it in the long run and turn it into just another huge housing estate.
The crosswind runway isn't a big loss, but out of hour movements for based aircraft and reasonable operating hours are, something that made CFD a brilliant airfield to fly from back in the day.
