VTOL,

I have successfully been through the Flybe selection process, although it was a couple of years ago now.

My final interview was with the head human resources manager from flybe and it was held at cranfield. I was expecting a Cabair representative to be involved but it ended up being just me, HR guy and his personal assistant. There was no one there who was a pilot, so no trickey questions about flying scenarios. The whole thing was very laid back, much more so than I expected, both the Flybe people were very nice. The whole interview started with something along the lines of "we are not here to grill you on facts and figures, we just want to get to know you and to answer your questions".

Questions I was asked:

What do you know about the history of FlyBe?
Do you know what sort of aircraft we operate and to where?
Tell us about yourself?
What are your strong points and weak points?
Why do you want to be a pilot?

Most of the info about the company can be found on their website, they didn't at any stage get into any specifics such as number of aircraft, types of engines, or specifications.

Just be yourself and answer honestly, read up on all the information on the website and enjoy it. The whole interview lasted about 20 minutes, no where near as scary as I thought that it would be.

Good luck for thursday!
