Angel, I am part way through it. As far I can see, you start and see what happens.
1. Ask for application forms and fill them out, just getting this far may take weeks
2. Find an industry mentor and have him approved, this also may take weeks.
3. Once the industry mentor is approved you will then get istructions
4. Follow these instructions and fill out the provided paperwork (this is where I am at)
5. Do a professional development course at a time and location set by CASA
6. Do a test with CASA. I am not sure what this entails yet.
I am thinking the whole process could take 6 - 12 months and naturally there will be a cost.
The funny thing is when I became an RAA CFI, all testing approvals came with the appointment. I can even renew the instructor ratings of instructors working for me.
My opinion: CASA is a bit hard, RAA is way too easy ....
