Well, well, well. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what's going on here...
No prizes for guessing who has dreamt this one up (who said Warwick Brady?) He's just bringing across all of Ryanair's best ideas.
First the massive expansion of flexicrew in the UK, then the crappy Portuguese t's and c's, now the closing of the Madrid base along with it's decent contract, and next Parc FO's across Europe as well...
It's a race to the bottom guys - who will get there first? It would be tough to challenge Ryanair to that title, but Ezy and the rest are certainly trying to catch up. There is no doubt that this is a huge threat to everyone currently working in easyJet - how much longer will we have to wait before we see contract Captains or flexi-cadet-Captain contracts. If we're not careful we are all going to sleepwalk into this one and by then it will be too late....
Time to update my CV then. I don't see Balpa doing anything about this one either...
