I have 2000 hrs on type and yet I cringe when Captains introduce me to pax as a 'senior FO'.
Don't get me wrong, I am quite capable of landing with 16 kts + across. I think VJW was making the point that 1000 hrs is not experienced in industry terms, rather than suggesting that crosswinds are beyond their abilities. But even 2000 hrs is early days in one's career...
