DO NOT GO TO AFCME

Why are you going to AFCME??? You need to go to AFCME only for your th or 7th medical depending if you are below or above 40, or when you reach age 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 etc......

DO NOT GO TO AFCME unless you absolutely HAVE to......

Here's my one piece of advise for anyone who is not familiar with Indian AFCME & DGCA......

If you have any kind of medical condition, DO NOT GO TO AFCME OR ANY MEDICAL CENTER for the matter......

If you don't go for renewal medical, your medical will lapse & you will be grounded, you can't fly......

If you are flying for any company, it will be an issue.......

If you GO for your renewal medical and you have any medical condition, then you wll be grounded...... It will be a much bigger issue then......

YOU WILL BE GROUNDED NO MATTER WHAT.........

Only difference is that it will come in your medical file FOREVER.....

Read below about a guy who was trying to get the Height corrected in the file...... Think what you will do when your medical condition & abnormal levels come in your file......

If you miss your medical, you can still do a RENEWAL medical upto six or 12 months from the original due date, you will just have to get a NOC from medical section at DGCA. It is not that hard to get the NOC, just make any excuse, you were not in India or family issues, viral or flu etc etc whatever.....

Best thing to do, consult a good aviation medical specialist, who knows what are the acceptable levels as per Indian CAR/ DGCA guidelines.....

In general, here is a practice that we used to follow:

Always get a renewal medical date approx 1 month before your medical is due. Then, always get all the profiles & blood tests done approx 1 month before you go for medical.....

That way, you have time (approx 2 months) to fix things via exercise or medicines if anythng is wrong & you will never get grounded....
