Before making comments like "flying in Lanserias controlled airspace" - I suggest you actually buy a map and look at it. I flew that route for many years before leaving SA. Crossing the ridge - you are in FAKR airspace and should NOT be on Lanserias frequency. I say this because I have often been in the circuit and someone just blast through unannounced. I have also witnessed flying school aircraft from Lanseria (with instructor on board) at Krugersdorp doing Left hand circuits onto 08 - never occured to him to look at the procedures and teach the student correctly.
The original writer just reinforces the poor attitude of the South African pilots - shoot from the hip, criticise others etc (because I'm prefect).
Unfortunately he is right about the attitude of pilots, and their exploits. I could probably give the registrations of the aircraft sitting on the other side of the world, but I just see this as a general reflection of South Africans - "stuff the law".
