If I remember it correctly the AQM forgot he left the portable in-between the
floats and aircraft frame and it fell off when returning to Osubi. Could have
landed everywhere but luck had
it just fell off overhead the Guv’s house
FCP - Spot on apart from the Governor bit - the house just to the East of the Refinery Flyover belonged to the local Pastor and a well stuffed brown envelope from Bristow/Shell sorted the wahallah from him. The AQMs were well pissed off when they found out - having their beliefs in the integrity and sanctity of their religious Brother well shaken.
A small Motorola sized patch was applied to the roof shortly afterwards.
I always wondered at the lack of fixed FM Radio in the Shell 212's - even after a gazillion years, communication with landing sites relied on the AQM with a hand held FM talking over the cabin noise!
