No mate, the Ruskies were powering towards Zebra and they had models of delta jets with Russian insignias. When they arrived they cut to real footage, of F-4 Phantoms.
Still, not as bad as a documentary DVD I recently watched, titled "The Fight for the Sky -
The Battle of Britain", featuring "rare archive footage", which included the usual Spitfire/Hurricane/Messerschmitt/Heinkel characters, but then P-47s, Fw-190s, B-17s and even Zeros and Corsairs were fighting over the English Channel.
