Full planes not profitable...not good enough Jack!
Just shows how little intelligence you have concerning this matter, SkyEurope Cork-Bratislava always full - no ancillary revenue from pax, not profitable.

I'd say the same re your stmt on Cork. Need facts
I work in the airport, and I'd love to ask you what flights you've taken to Gatwick recently so I can check the loads which you claim were close to full. Fact of the matter is loads never have really surpassed an average of 54%. Want proof? do your research and look at the stats on the CSO website.

Cork will need to support 320's on routes like Manchester if it's ever to get above 3 million again. It had BMI Baby 733's and EI 320's daily during the Celtic Tiger era. Seems very far away now but who knows?
Your exactly right, but if you look at Aer Lingus recent changes with fare structures etc they're driving profits by reform and ancillary revenue and I'd be the first to say on most of my flights in 2008 to Manchester with Aer Lingus I'd seen maybe 3/4 buying BOB? the ATR seem's to be the perfect aircraft at the moment but a mix of A320's or A319's for that mater on a Friday, Sunday would surely work.
