Runway Closures –November 2012
Purpose
This notice is issues to inform all stakeholders of the planned runway closure for essential maintenance.
Notification
Until further notice the runway will be closed annually over night for two weekends each November. The runway closures for 2012 will be as follows:
Friday 9th November 23:59 to Saturday 10th November 05:30 Local
Saturday 10th November 23:59 to Sunday 11th November 05:30 Local
Friday 16th November 23:59 to Saturday 17th November 05:30 Local
Saturday 17th November 23:59 to Sunday 18th November 05:30 Local
Procedures
The runway will be closed to all fixed wing and rotary aircraft.
ATC services
There will be no ATC service available 23:59 – 05:00 local for each closure.
Aircraft movements will not be permitted during this period. Any towing, engine runs etc. will need to be undertaken outside of these hours.
It is a condition of use of London Luton Airport Operations Ltd (LLAO) that all operators comply with Instructions raised by LLAO. All employers are responsible for bringing the contents of this Instruction
to the attention of their employees.
