I doubt my club would be interested in finding an examiner for me as it's not in their interest
It certainly
should be in their interest, try asking them, and make it known that if they are not forthcoming you will look to change where you fly from after you have passed! Any decent club would want to look after their customers and if they were this unhelpful would you really want to stick with them anyway?
