I also own an Omega Speedmaster chrono, bought 1969 ( before moon landings) keeps reasonable time, last serviced 20+ years ago. Took it to dealer recently for a check, told "if it runs ok don`t open it". Had a few straps over the years. In my opinion THE classic chrono.
My choice of chrono as well, my model has the Cal. 861 with tritium markings and is in mint condition. I bought it from somebody on a watch forum last year for a lot less than the RRP on a new one. This is it on the Omega rally strap with double fold clasp, currently it is on an Alligator strap with the same Omega clasp, the bracelet is in the box.
